Main purpose of the meeting: Discussion of options for schedules for 2024/2025
Filip (Introduction)
Slide 3: all limitations may be dependent on the future understanding of problems. For now, the statement of no limit to go to 1.8x1011 ppb holds true.
Slide 7: Rende commented that there is a strong request from the SPSC to have a long ion run at the end of the year 2024. Which would make it impossible to run the OO run at the end of the year.
The need for a cooldown at the end of 2024 (RP) should be evaluated more.
Slide 8:
Witold commented that putting a VdM in teh middle of summer (after MD3) may not be the best moment to gather experts.
Filip commented the MD blocks in the schedules are mostly placeholders.
David asked if we can put the VdM after MD1, which seems to be expected to be longer. Filip responded that in principle yes, remembering we need a few days of low-lumi MDs.
Jorg also commented that this option works only if there is no RP optics.
Slide 10:
Silvia commented that the ATLAS target for preference is at most 350/pb for *all* reference runs (not each).
Roderik commented that the 8 days is maybe a bit pessimistic as possibly many issues should be solved from the beginning.
Slide 11: Rende is discussing with people to define how important is the cooldown at the end of 2025.
Slide 13:
Roderik commented that if we go for Oxygen run before the PbPb run before we would need a bit of commissioning.
Sarah commented that 0.5/nb with 1-1.5 days seems optimistics. Roderik commented that it is highly dependent on the beam quality.
Elena also commented that LHCb also has a goal of 0.5/nb.
Sarah (ALICE)
Slide 2: extension of 2024 will not be a good idea as it follows a EYETS which is necessary and fixed in length. Only discussions in corridors is to extend by a few weeks 2025.
Silvia (ATLAS)
Slide 5: Roderik commented that the performance after LEIR was worse in 2023 to 2018. Rende commented that maybe this is due to a setup in the LINAC RF system.
Catrin asked if this can be done soonish. Rende confirmed yes.
If the reason is really the slip-stacking, then 75ns may help. Otherwise if it’s really LEIR performance, then it would not really help.
Gianni (CMS)
Teh cooldown needs for CMS should be clarified and when taking the decision CMS management should be included.
Elena (LHCb)

Hiroaki (LHCf)
If OO is moved after TS
Filip commented that on Wednesday, there will be a discussion between LPCs, SPs and RD. Next week there will be LHCC, which can also be another opportunity for discussion. The week after there will be the JAP workshop and the Research Board which likely will make a decision on the schedule.
