Main purpose of the meeting: Meeting dedicated to the current ion run

Filip (Introduction)

Slide 5: 

• Roderik still to discuss with MPP regarding the limit of number of bunches for the Beam-Beam MD

• BFPP quench test will include a dump and refill. No Stable Beams foreseen. Filling scheme should be the same as the one in physics production in the last night.

 

Slide 6: 

• Electricity cuts only impact 4 weeks of operations wrt to the 6 weeks of 2023. 

 

Andrea (CMS)

Slide 2: 

• 4 emittance scans are per individual fills

• 15 points may be preferred

• ATLAS requested 2 emittance scans until the end of the year. Preferred that if they are done with 15 points, the ATLAS scan should be done together with CMS one. 

 

Silvia (ATLAS)

Slide 2: not to forget that the crossing angle for ATLAS/CMS should be the same as in 2023

 

Niels (LHCb)

Slide 2: decision on sharing of number of bunches will be passed to the Director of Research who will mediate

 

Sarah (ALICE)

Plan is to continue with physics production until the end of the week. Filling schemes may change based on negotiations and decisions.
