Main purpose of the meeting: Current status of the ion run

 

Filip (Introduction)

Slide 3: current draft schedule does not include anymore pp for the rest of the year

Slide 7: reasons for SEUs around ALICE is not yet understood

Slide 9: Silvia asked if during the last MD we will be delivered collisions. Roderik responded that it will depend on the intensity profile.

 

CMS (Giulia)

Slide 2: Regarding leveling vs non-leveling, currently it seems we are doing better with leveling than without it

 

LHCb (Niels)

Slide 1: Discussed with other experiments regarding the clock switch

 

Sarah (ALICE)

Slide 5: Jorg and Roderik commented that the crossing angle will be already flipped by the time we reach ADJUST

 

Silvia (ATLAS)

Slide 1: observed that the beamspot is bigger in X than Y, while it was expected to be the opposite. To be followed-up. 

 

Next meeting on Monday 23rd. LPC on November 6th should be dedicated to the first impression for plans for next year.
